Intangible history made visual

How to go about making the intangible tangible and visible? First we investigated, evaluated and studied 23 different visitor centres nationally and abroad, to get an overview of various available solutions, and a clearer picture of what we wanted. Finally we arrived at Reykjavik 871(+-2) in Iceland, and were immediately enthused about the serenity and excellence of the technology. It made the feeling of how it must might been in Reykjavik in the years of the early settlement come to life. The exhibition consisted of interactive multimedia installations that conveyed the  life of the settlers in Iceland anno 871 (+-2). We made the decision to establish contact with the company behind the exhibition, Gagarin Ltd, to explore a possible future cooperation in connection with the plans for a visitor centre.
