The Project commenced by conducting an audit of all available information about our sites. This showed where work needed to be undertaken to fill in the knowledge gaps and formed the basis for telling the thing story and creating educational and interpretive material and activities.
Having assembled information about things, we then had to consider how to share it. We employed a range of techniques which would be best suited to each region – interpretive methods, printed material and ways to recreate the past.
In considering these elements we drafted and communication and dissemination strategy and also common interpretation guidelines which could be adapted for use in each region.
