Spreading the Message: Promoting and Marketing Sustainable Services

In considering how to improve knowledge of things and how to promote and market our sites we developed a tourism and marketing strategy and employed a range of individual and joint marketing initiatives.

This included:

  • developing a brand, website and range of marketing tools
  • increasing knowledge of thing sites and common connections
  • learning from experiences of partners who have existing tourist infrastructures
  • working with local and regional tourism agencies and tour operators
  • exploring the options of themed  tours
